Municipal Government Day activities go at Revolution Place this afternoon

The City of Grande Prairie is set to celebrate Municipal Government Day 2019, with a plethora of free activities to take part in this afternoon.

Revolution Place will play host to the festivities from 4-7 p.m. today, no matter the weather, and all residents of the Swan City are being encouraged to attend.

Some activities and items residents can expect include:

  • A free barbecue
  • A Kid’s Zone, featuring a bouncy castle
  • Local food trucks
  • Local entertainers
  • Information booths from City departments

The City is also offering free use of public transit today from 12-8 p.m. as a way to celebrate.

Residents who are attending are asked to park at either the south or west lots of Revolution Place, as the east lot (front) will be housing many of the activities for the event.
