Rage snap Brewers winning streak at 9

The County Brewers lengthy winning streak has come to an end at the hands of the Rycroft Rage.

Rycroft scored all three of their runs in the bottom half of the 3rd inning to earn a 3-2 win over the first place Brewers Thursday night.

The Rage also shut down the Brewers bats for the most part in the contest as they limited the top team in the league to just three hits.

With the win, the Rage improve to 5-6 on the year and take sole possession of 3rd place in the league standings.

Meanwhile the Brewers drop to 9-2 on the year but remain 2.5 games up on the 2nd place Peace River Stampeders.

The other contest which was scheduled for Thursday night was between the Manning Mets and the Peace River Stampeders, but that contest was postponed until Canada Day.

League standings:

1. Brewers: 9-2
2. Peace River: 7-5
3. Rycroft: 5-6
4. Manning: 4-6
5. Grimshaw: 3-9
