Grande Prairie product wins Gold at Ball Hockey World Championship

A Grande Prairie ball hockey player has won gold on the World stage.

Kjelt Sandboe and the rest of Team Canada claimed the Gold medal at the World U16 Ball Hockey Championships in Czech Republic.

In 5 games played Sandboe found the back of the net once at the World Championship.

The Grande Prairie product has played for Team Alberta for the past 2 years and that is how he was selected to Team Canada.

Sandboe has also been part of CNG Ball Hockey in Grande Prairie for 4 years.
