Insurance companies preparing for more stormy weather in Alberta

Insurance companies are warning people to brace for more summer storms in Alberta, which sees more insured losses than all the other provinces combined.

AMA insurance experts say 51 per cent of all storm-related damage in Canada since 2010 has occurred in Alberta.

They say since 2010, there was about $5 billion of insured damage in the province.

The growing cost is leaving a big dent in the bottom line for car dealerships.

Some now put their cars in tents to protect them from hail.
