Narrow win for Salmond in Calgary, Kimble dominates in Rycroft

Evan Salmond edged Dallas Dyck by 1-100th of a second for the best time on night two of the Rangeland Derby at the Calgary Stampede.

Grande Prairie’s Kirk Sutherland was third on the evening.

Chance Bensmiller leads the aggregate after two nights, 6-100ths of a second over Vern Nolin.

Cody Ridsdale is the top Peace region driver, sitting in 17th after two days, while Chanse Vigen is 20th.

Meanwhile, Lane Kimble had the best time on night three of the WCA stop at the Race the 8 in Rycroft, finishing over 2 seconds faster than Don Federiuk.

The result pulled Kimble into third place in the aggregate standings, 84-100ths of a second behind leader Erik Tremblay, going into Sunday’s final day of racing,.
