CALGARY- A city councillor jumped into action with a naloxone kit when she found a man lying unresponsive on a lawn across from her home.
Diane Colley-Urquhart says she couldn’t rouse him, his pulse rate was irregular and his breathing was shallow and irregular.
Colley-Urquhart, who is a registered nurse, suspected opioid use and put the needle from the kit into the man’s thigh.
She says he was up in a couple of minutes, pushed her away and walked down the road.
