Day one of rodeo at Teepee Creek in the books while Dreger fastest among chucks on Friday

Day one of rodeo competition at the 103rd annual Teepee Creek Stampede took place on Friday.

Leaders after the opening day include Ky Marshall (Bowden) in Bareback, Brock Butterfield (Ponoka) in Steer Wrestling, Dawson Dahm (Duffield) in Saddle Bronc, Shane Smith (Wimborne) in Tie Down Roping, and Riley Warren (Stettler) and Clay Ullery (Two Hills) in Team Roping.

Lacombe’s Justine Elliott leads in Ladies Barrel Racing, while Jordan Hansen (Ponoka) has the score to beat so far in Bull Riding.

Rodeo resumes on Saturday at 1pm.

Meanwhile, Dean Dreger had the best time on night two of WCA racing in Teepee Creek.
