City staff, DTS board want more time to discuss future plans

Jul 15, 2019 | 5:30 AM

A city committee is asking council to approve extending funding for the Disabled Transportation Society until September 1 from August 1.

Back in June, council had approved keeping funding as budgeted by the city for 2019 if service levels were maintained where they were before cuts earlier this year. .

City Administration says they are continuing to work with the DTS board on the future of disabled transportation services.

They had thought those talks would be done by the beginning of August, but more time is needed to figure things out.
