Rodeo round-up: Calgary and Teepee Creek

Two Peace Region competitors made it to the final day of the Calgary Stampede rodeo.

Jake Watson scored an 85 to finish seventh in the saddle broncs semi-final round.

Stephen Culling with a 16.3 second time wound up ninth in the steer wrestling semis.

Neither advanced to the final round.

American competitors won all the events.

One local cowboy won his event at the Teepee Creek Stampede rodeo.

Worsley’s Braxton Rowe scored a 73 to take first in the steer riding.

Barebacks – Ty Taypotat, Regina, Saskatchewan

Steer Wrestling – Ben Ramey, Ponoka, Alberta

Saddle Broncos – Jake Burwash, Nanton, Alberta

Team Roping – Logan Bonnett/Kaely Bonnett, Ponoka, Alberta

Tie-Down Roping – Shane Smith, Wimborne, Alberta

Barrel Racing – Stacey Ruzicka, Bluffton, Alberta

Bull Riding – Jordan Hansen, Ponoka, Alberta

Novice Barebacks – Chett Deitz, Milo, Alberta

Novice Saddle Broncs – Hayden Cole, Condor, Alberta
