One person dead after rollover near Widewater

Slave Lake RCMP say a young man is dead after a crash near Widewater.

Mounties say Tuesday night around 11:30 p.m., a car carrying five people rolled into what police describe as a steep ditch along South Shore Drive.

One of the passengers died. His name will not be released.

Four other young men in the car had serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.
