Ag. for Life gets grant from energy company

Jul 24, 2019 | 12:43 PM

Pembina Pipeline Corporation has given Agriculture for Life a $150,000 grant.

Ag. for Life says in a release the money will be used over three years to maintain and add new features to its Rural Safety Unit (pictured).

The group takes it to communities across Alberta to teach kids about farm safety.

It has been to the Peace a number of times.

“We are honoured to have this support from Pembina and look forward to being able to continue delivering our message of safety to our fellow Albertans,” says Ag. for Life CEO Luree Williamson in that same release.

Pembina’s Vice President of Technical Services Allan Charlesworth adds: “This unit is an important tool to equip kids and their families with the information they need to stay safe. As a member of the community, we are proud to contribute to this innovative and fun program.”
