He also spent the 2018-2019 season as a Goaltending Consultant with the ACAC’s SAIT Trojans men’s hockey team.

“We are very excited to bring Jonny on as our goaltending coach,” stated General Manager Mark Bomersback in a press release Tuesday.

“He comes highly recommended by his peers, he is very prepared, goal driven and is eager to step in and work at improving the development and performance our goaltenders.’’

The Storm also announced they have brought on former NHL Goaltender Chris Mason as a Goalie Consultant.

Mason, a fifth round selection of the New Jersey Devils in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, played 12 seasons in the NHL with Nashville, St.Louis, and Atlanta/Winnipeg.

“The Storm are very excited to have the opportunity to add a person of Chris’s caliber, professionalism, and experience to our staff. Chris currently resides in Nashville and works for the Nashville Predators in the NHL as a TV broadcaster, but he will be watching our games regularly on Hockey TV. He will provide support and mentorship for both Jonny Webb and our promising group of goaltenders as we look to take the next step this coming season,” shared Bomersback in regards to bringing the former NHL Netminder on board.

The Storm will open Training Camp on August 16th.
