Fairview RCMP lay criminal charges after busy July in the town
Criminal charges are pending in Fairview after three separate investigations this month.
Clinton Ray Tyrkus, 37, of Fairview was charged after officers were called to a rural residence July 4 for a complaint of someone carelessly discharging a firearm. There were no injuries reported and Tyrkus was arrested and faces 16 Criminal Code offences.
Five days later RCMP were called after a theft from a motor vehicle and a residence in the community. Jewellery was taken from the home and the suspect fled. On July 11 officers were called to another B&E. 28-year-old Nick Glover has been charged in regard to these two breaks and enters. He is due in court July 24.
Then on July 14, 2019, RCMP conducted a traffic stop outside the town of Fairview for a vehicle equipment violation. Officers seized two prohibited firearms, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone (an opioid used to treat moderate to severe pain. Long term use is typically only recommended for pain due to cancer.) The name of the suspect has not been released as charges have not yet been sworn. The investigation is ongoing.
