Ross and Kennedy make Hockey Alberta U18 Shortlist

Hockey Alberta announced Wednesday afternoon their shortlist for Team Alberta’s U18 female squad and there are a pair of Peace Country connections to the list.

Dayle Ross of Spirit River will be competing for a spot on the blue line of the club.

Ross was a member of the St.Albert Slash who won the Esso Cup in 2019. She found the back of the net in the Championship game.

Also receiving an invite was Bree Kennedy.

Kennedy, who now hails from Chestermere, is a former member of Grande Prairie Minor Hockey.

The two will be scouted with their club teams in the fall and compete at Hockey Alberta’s Fall camp at the end of September in Edmonton.

The U18 female squad will then compete at the 2019 U18 National Championship tournament in November in Morden and Winkler Manitoba.
