Marten Beach evacuated, Highway 88 closed due to flooding

An evacuation order has been issued for a hamlet in the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124, which is about 200 kilometres north of Edmonton.
Heavy rainfall has caused the Marten River to rise and flood the hamlet of Marten Beach, which is being evacuated.
Highway 88 is closed about 10 kilometres north of Slave Lake because of the washout.
