Human remains found by High Prairie RCMP

High Prairie RCMP discovered human remains Friday (July 26) in a wooded area near the Driftpile First Nation while they were searching for a possible missing person.

The Identification Section attended the scene today to conduct an investigation.

RCMP say there is no indication that this is a suspicious incident.

The body has not been identified pending an investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.

RCMP say they are conducting interviews with people who may have information.
