Rage punch ticket to league final

The Final is set in the Wheatbelt Baseball League.

The Rycroft Rage earned their spot in the Championship series Wednesday night with a 12-3 win over the Peace River Stampeders in Game 4 of their semi-final series.

Despite trailing 2-1 in the 4th inning, the Rage would score 4 in the 4th, 3 in the 5th, and 4 in the 6th to clinch the series victory in 4 games.

The Rage will now have a chance to defend their league title as they meet the County Brewers in the Championship Series which the Brewers will have home field advantage for.

During the regular season the two clubs met 7 times and Rycroft won the season series 4-3.

The Championship series will begin on Tuesday when the County Brewers host the Rage in Game 1 of their best-of-five series at the Crosslink County Sportsplex.

The series will then shift to Rycroft for Game 2 next Thursday.

Game 1 – Aug 6th in Grande Prairie

Game 2 – Aug 8th in Rycroft

Game 3 – Aug 13th in Grande Prairie

*Game 5 – Aug 20th in Grande Prairie
