Severe thunderstorm watch in place for Grande Prairie area

A severe thunderstorm watch is in place by Environment Canada for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Valleyview areas, while a warning is in place for Little Smoky, Fox Creek and Grande Cache.
Environment Canada says storms capable of producing large hail, strong gusts of wind and heavy rains are favourable for these areas.
They say thunderstorms continue to develop along the foothills, with storms continuing to develop into the evening.
