Driver caught going 226 km/hour near Brooks

BROOKS, AB – Brooks RCMP have arrested a 20-year-old man on dangerous driving offenses.

At 9:45 pm on Friday, August 9th, officers were doing patrols of Highway 1 when they saw a westbound vehicle driving at a high speed.

They claim that the vehicle registered a speed of 226 km/hour on the radar.

“The vehicle has recently passed several other vehicles at this speed, putting other users of the roadway at significant risk,” reads a media release from Brooks RCMP.
