Aug 18, 2019 | 7:00 AM

Valleyview and Districts Agricultural Society will be hosting the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride next week.

It will take place on Tuesday August 20 at the Valleyview & Districts Agricultural Society Rodeo Grounds.

A Canadian Tradition since 1876, JoAnn Clarke with the Musical Ride planning committee says its a rare show to experience.

“It’s a very good show to see. 32 red coated Mounties on black horses, and they present a show of intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music.”

The event will also have other activities, says Clarke.

“We have the stables open from 9 in the morning to 9 at night, and we’re also serving Beef on a Bun from 4:00 to 6:00 for five dollars, and the pre-show is at 6:30 and the Musical Ride is at 7:30.”

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and kids aged 7 to 17, entry for anyone under 7 is free.

Tickets are available at the gate or presale, as well as room to park on grounds and wagon rides.
