Motor vehicle collision on Highway 9 causing detours

OYEN, AB — Drivers on Highway 9 should expect delays following a motor vehicle collision between Chinook and Cereal Tuesday afternoon.
According to Alberta 511, a motor vehicle collision and vehicle fire on the Highway west of Oyen has prompted the detours. The first mention of the collision occurred at 4:35 p.m.
A detour has been set using Highway 884, Highway 570, Highway 895, and Highway 41.
Oyen RCMP confirmed a collision involved multiple vehicles at Highway 9 and Range Road 71 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
