Aug 22, 2019 | 5:00 PM

Alberta Health Services says the records of 7,000 patients of a Calgary doctor may have been compromised by a hacker.

The agency says the physician at the Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre improperly used a non-AHS issued email account to transmit health information.

The affected patients are being notified.

Both Calgary police and the health agency are investigating.
