Calgary Pride names former NDP panel members to lead this years parade

Calgary Pride has taken aim at Alberta’s United Conservative government in naming the marshals for this year’s Pride parade.

Members of a panel set up by the former NDP government to research how best to end conversion therapy have been chosen to lead the parade.

Premier Jason Kenney’s government removed funding for the group earlier this year.

Calgary Pride says it wants to focus on citizens who choose to protect vulnerable people rather than leaders who deny facts.
