Police say a man who was shot by an officer in a parking-lot confrontation in Calgary has been charged.
They say officers were called to the lot outside a shopping complex on Sunday after a report of an armed man who was making threats.
Police say the man was shot when the situation escalated.
35-year-old Daniel Richard Balcerzak of Claresholm, Alberta faces six charges, including assaulting a police officer, assault with a weapon and uttering death threats.
