Man hit and killed by train in Slave Lake

A man has been struck and killed by a train in Slave Lake.

RCMP were called to the scene near Main Street at around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, where a male had been struck by a locomotive.

The man had suffered critical injuries from the collision and was quickly transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead early Thursday morning.

RCMP say the collision is under investigation. At this time, Investigators are trying to positively I.D. the male victim.
