Happy Birthday Alberta!

It was 114 years ago today that the province of Alberta was created and welcomed into confederation.

In a release, Premier Jason Kenney says since September 1st, 1905, Albertans have built a province that is the engine of Canada’s prosperity, of growing the middle class, of economic progress and social mobility.

He adds Alberta has been a bastion of freedom, free enterprise and democracy, embodied in the province’s motto of “Strong and Free”.
