A pair of grain terminals in the Peace Region are part of an agribusiness transaction.

Parrish & Heimbecker is buying 10 locations from the Louis Dreyfus Company, including the ones in Rycroft and Dawson Creek.

The locations in Joffre and Lyalta, Alberta, plus four more in Saskatchewan and two in Manitoba, are also included in the sale.

P&H says in a release is is spending money to create what it refers to as a National Grain Asset Network. The company says it is also building new elevators and expanding and upgrading export terminals, The compnay adds it is also expanding feed mills, elevators, and flour milling plants to grow what it refers to as a “more competitive grain supply chain across Canada.”

“This is an incredibly exciting day as P&H continues its investment in assets and terminals to provide farmers with local, best-in-class products and support, backed by a growing national grain asset network,” says John Heimbecker, Chief Executive Officer, P&H, in that same release. “This is a win-win for farmers seeking a more competitive grain and crop inputs offering as well as for the stakeholders within P&H and LDC who work to support them.”
