The Grande Prairie Storm have added another defenceman to the mix, ahead of Thursday’s pre-season finale.
The Storm have acquired 18-year-old Jason Chu from the BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings, in exchange for future considerations.
The Coquitlam, B.C. native appeared in 38 games last season with the Spruce Kings, netting just one goal and one assist. He also played in four games with the Surrey Eagles before being dealt to Prince George, where he scored a goal.
The 6’ tall, 170 lbs. blue liner joins the Storm ahead of their final exhibition game, which goes tonight at Revolution Place against the Whitecourt Wolverines. Game time is 7:30.
