Fire in north side of city under investigation

At around midnight on Thursday morning, the Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire at 112 Avenue and 102 Street.

Platoon Chief Ben Sargeant says there was one injury.

“Our crews were able to knock the fire down and confine it to the home of origin and keep it from spreading to adjacent homes. There was one injury, during the fire, one woman was taken to the hospital with burn injuries and smoke inhalation.”
