The North West Junior Hockey League is heading to High Level.

A four-game exhibition swing gets underway tonight at the High Level Arena, as the North Peace Navigators tangle with the Sexsmith Vipers. Puck drop is at 8:00.

Saturday will have a pair of games, as the Vipers will meet up with the Fairview Flyers at 2:45. That will be followed by the JDA Kings and Navs squaring off at 8:00.

Sunday the JDA Kings and Flyers will close out the trip to High Level, with game time set for 4:00.

The pre-season for the league officially got underway Thursday night, as the Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks skated to a 5-3 victory over the Flyers in Fairview.

Other exhibition action around the league this weekend has the defending league champions, the Fort St. John Huskies hosting the Cold Lake Ice of the North Eastern Alberta Junior Hockey League for a pair of games at North Peace Arena. Saturday’s game starts at 8:00 pacific time, while Sunday’s game will go at noon.

The regular season gets underway next Friday with a pair of games on schedule. The JDA Kings will host the Huskies at the Crosslink County Sportsplex, in a rematch of last season’s final. The Vipers will host the Navs in the other contest that evening.
