Highway 40 now cleared near Canfor Rd. following collision

UPDATE (9:14 p.m.) Highway 40 has been cleared as a two-vehicle collision had closed the highway just north of Canfor Rd. earlier this evening.

Grande Prairie RCMP say an investigation into the crash determined that a pickup heading northbound collided head-on with a southbound pickup just before 6 p.m. this evening. The investigation into the crash continues and all factors are being considered.

Both drivers were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
