Edmonton police charge 60-year-old man accused of trying to lure 13-year-old girl

Edmonton police have charged a 60-year-old man accused of twice trying to lure a 13-year-old girl into his vehicle.

Investigators say they received a report earlier this month that a man had tried to lure the teen into a minivan – and knocked her to the ground and groped her when she refused.

Police say she got away but spotted the same man 11 days later where he tried to lure her into the van for a second time.

The suspect was arrested last week and faces charges including sexual assault and sexual interference.
