Fuel spill cleaned up after Canadian Pacific Railway derailment in Central Alberta

Sep 29, 2019 | 11:53 AM

A statement from Canadian Pacific Railway says three cars involved in a derailment in central Alberta late Friday leaked fuel products.

It happened south of Blackfalds at the intersection of Highway 2A and Township Road 392.

The statement says the spilled product was contained and crews used vacuum trucks to recover any visible product on the ground.

There were no injuries, and no reported impact to waterways.
