Through wet snow and bitterly cold temperatures, the GPRC Wolves Women’s Cross-Country team notched their second podium finish in as many weeks.

The Wolves finished in third as a team at the fourth Grand Prix of the ACAC season in Calgary on Saturday, at the Jordan Fish Memorial hosted by SAIT.

Coming off a second-place finish at home last weekend, the GPRC women finished just one point ahead of U of A-Augustana to claim the final podium spot at the event.

Anna van der Geissen helped pace the squad, posting the sixth best time on the six kilometre course. The third year Wolves runner was coming off posting the third best individual time here in Grande Prairie last weekend.

The men’s team also took part in the event, posting a fifth-place finish. Hayden Hollowell posted the best individual time for GPRC, coming in sixth.

Both teams will now have a weekend off before the final Grand Prix event of the season goes on Thanksgiving weekend in Camrose for the Augustana Open. The Cross-Country Championship will then go on October 26.
