Grande Prairie man arrested in Yellowknife on drug trafficking charges

A Grande Prairie man has been arrested in the Northwest Territories on drug trafficking charges.
The RCMP Federal Investigations Unit conducted three searches at two apartment buildings in Yellowknife on Wednesday, While conducting the searches, 26-year-old Salah Omar, of Grande Prairie was arrested.
Omar was already at large on recognizance after being charged by the Grande Prairie RCMP with drug trafficking in September 2018.
Omar has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of obstructing a peace officer, and four counts of breach of recognizance after his latest arrest.
