Storm hit the road

Storm open three game, three-night road swing in Okotoks Friday

Oct 4, 2019 | 11:27 AM

It’s going to be a busy weekend for the Grande Prairie Storm.

After enjoying a full calendar week off, the Storm now embark on a three game, three-night road swing throughout Southern Alberta starting tonight as they take on the Okotoks Oilers.

The game is a rematch of the Storm’s last game, which came at the AJHL Showcase, where the Oilers cruised to a 4-1 victory. The Storm will be looking for a quicker start this time around, as they were outshot 9-0 in the first period of last Friday’s game and 26-13 overall.

That loss completed the Storm’s September schedule, with a 5-3-0 record. They sit in fourth in the AJHL’s North Division.

Following tonight’s game, the Storm will take on the Dragons in Drumheller on Saturday, followed by the Canmore Eagles in Banff on Sunday afternoon.

All games can be streamed on My Hockey TV.

Puck drop for tonight’s game is 7:00.
