Vipers, Navs at home to open NWJHL weekend action

North West Junior Hockey League action returns tonight with a pair of games on schedule.

In Sexsmith, the Vipers will be looking to get back in the win column when they host the Fort St. John Huskies. The Vipers dropped both of their games last weekend, first to the JDA Kings 4-3 last Friday and then to the Huskies in Fort St. John 5-3 on Saturday. The losses dropped the Vipers to 1-3-0 on the year, tied for last place.

That tie is with the North Peace Navigators, who will be home to the Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks this evening. The Navs also went 0-for-2 last weekend, with road losses to both Fairview and the JDA Kings.

Tonight’s game will be the first of a home-and-home, as the latter half will go in the Mile Zero City on Saturday night.
