Aquatera pays tribute to Lagace

Aquatera has added its own tribute in a park in Sexsmith to former Mayor Claude Lagace.

The company has built a waterfall and rock feature.

Chief Financial Officer Jeff Pieper says Lagace played a big role in helping establish Aquatera.

“He was an active participant with Aquatera. He was there from the beginning when Sexsmith joined Aquatera, participated on our Board of Directors, and was our shareholder representative up until last year.”

Pieper says they also wanted to salute Lagace’s dedication to his community.

The waterfall is located in Arbour Park in Sexsmith. Lagace was the town’s Mayor for 11 years before he passed away in September of last year.
