STORM

Ouch! Storm drop second straight lopsided contest

Oct 6, 2019 | 7:33 AM

This current Southern road trip has been nothing to write home about for the Grande Prairie Storm.

After falling 6-0 in Okotoks to start the road trip on Friday, the Storm moved into Drumheller on Saturday night, looking for better results.

It did not happen.

The hometown Dragons scored four times in each of the first two periods, en route to coasting to a 9-2 win over the Storm.

Eric Martin, Derrick Budz and Carter Belitski each scored twice for Drumheller, while Scout Truman, Brady Risk and Luke Fennig added singles.

Risk also added three assists for a four point night.

Jarin Sutton (1st) and Nathan Morgan (3rd) had the Storm goals, while the tandem of Lars Kaliel and Kaeden Lane combined to face 42 shots on the night.

The Storm (5-5-0) will try to end the road trip on a positive note on Sunday afternoon, when they visit Canmore.
