On Tuesday, October 1st, after allegedly buying her fifth weapon, Kohuch was stopped by ALERT and Grande Prairie RCMP during a traffic stop. Officers searched her vehicle and found a gun, along with cocaine and fentanyl.

Kohuch now faces numerous charges, including:

  • Trafficking a firearm

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowing the possession is unauthorized
  • Possession of drugs
  • Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking

ALERT further says in a press release that only one gun was found during the traffic stop.

“None of the other handguns have been accounted for, and who is in possession of those handguns should prompt concern from the community,” said ALERT Regional Teams Inspector Sean Boser, in the release.

ALERT and the RCMP remind the public to report any suspected drug or gang activity in their community to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8577).
