Southern Alberta man wanted by police charged with new offences

Police say a man wanted for assault and sexual assault has been charged in another serious assault in southern Alberta.

They say they arrested the 23-year-old man after another man known to him was attacked with a baseball bat in Moses Lake of the Blood Tribe.

Blood Tribe Police say the 28-year-old victim was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital suffering from serious injuries to his face and body.

They say the suspect has been charged with new offences including aggravated assault, uttering threats and unlawful confinement.
