The man charged after a 2015 shooting incident at the Halliburton facility in Clairmont has been given a five-year prison term.

Alberta Justice says Panagiotis Michalakakos pleaded guilty to six of the 14 charges he was facing October 8 in Grande Prairie court. Those included uttering threats to cause bodily harm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm-recklessness, and possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.

A trial had been scheduled to run from October 7 through October 18.

No one was hurt after several shots were fired at the building the evening of March 31, 2015.
