Wolves volleyball, basketball open 2019-2020 ACAC seasons

GPRC volleyball and basketball teams kicked off their regular seasons on Friday night.

Volleyball hosted Keyano College of Fort McMurray, with the women winning in 5 games (23-25, 25-17, 19-25, 28-26, 16-14), as Meagan Warner led the way with 15 kills and 2 service aces.

The news was not as good for the men, as they were swept in three straight (25-23, 25-18, 25-15) .

Meanwhile, the basketball teams opened the season in Edmonton against NAIT, with the men falling 93-73, as Jeremy Pynn led the way for GPRC with 19 points.

The women dropped a 92-30 decision to the Ooks, with Jeannie Borger dropping in 10 points for the Wolves.
