Viersen Re-Elected

Viersen re-elected for second term in Peace River-Westlock

Arnold Viersen will be joining Chris Warkentin back in Ottawa, as the Conservative Incumbent in Peace River-Westlock has also been re-elected for a second term.

Viersen, much like Warkentin, has taken the riding in convincing fashion, with over 37,000 votes with 213 of 228 polls reporting.

The Conservatives appear to have taken every riding except one in Alberta, with Heather McPherson seeming to have won the Edmonton-Strathcona riding for the NDP, defeating Conservative Sam Lilly by about 4,000 votes with 25 polls yet to report in that riding.

Viersen was first elected in Peace River-Westlock in 2015 and has already received more votes than he did four years ago.
