Grande Prairie RCMP’s new Superintendent already launching new operations
Grande Prairie’s RCMP detachment has a new officer in charge, who has quickly launched a new policing initiative.
Superintendent Sean Curry joined the local force just under 2 months ago, following the retirement of former Superintendent Don McKenna back in the spring. So far, Curry says he’s impressed by the officers in Grande Prairie, and the enthusiasm of the people here.
“They’ve been open to new ideas. Grande Prairie detachment has a history of looking to pilot new ideas, so they’ve been innovative. I think that innovation, that willingness to try new ideas, is going to continue along here.”
He says under his command, the operations currently underway will continue to get support.
