Man facing multiple charges including assault and carjacking in Lethbridge

A man faces multiple charges in Lethbridge including an assault with a machete and a carjacking.

Lethbridge police say the assault occurred on Sunday, followed by another assault, carjacking, kidnapping and robbery that same day.

That was followed by an attempted carjacking on Tuesday by a suspect armed with two different knives and a robbery and assault yesterday where a woman was knocked to the ground and forced to hand over her cellphone.

Cory Williams was arrested yesterday and has been charged with kidnapping, two counts of assault with a weapon, robbery and uttering threats.
