Snowfall warning in effect for Grande Prairie area

There is a snowfall warning in effect. Rain will begin overnight on Friday, but will change to snow as temperatures drop later Friday morning.

Environment Canada has issued the warning for the following areas:

  • County of Grande Prairie near Beaverlodge Hythe and Demmitt
  • County of Grande Prairie near Grande Prairie and Wembley
  • County of Grande Prairie near Sexsmith and La Glace
  • County of Greenview near DeBolt
  • M.D. of Greenview near Little Smoky
  • M.D. of Greenview near O’Brien Prov. Park and Big Mtn Creek
  • M.D. of Greenview near Sturgeon Lake
  • M.D. of Greenview near Valleyview and New Fish Creek
  • M.D. of Greenview near Wapiti and Shuttler Flats Rec. Area

10 to 15 centimetres of snow is expected.
