Oct 27, 2019 | 10:35 AM

After an 11-3 loss in Fort St John on Friday night, the County of Grande Prairie JDA Kings were looking for a bounce back effort on Saturday.

They got it, thanks in large part to Justin Rudyk, who netted a hat trick in a 6-3 win over the Sundown Oilfield Services Sexsmith Vipers.

Bailey Hartman with two and Aiden Brown also scored for the Kings, while Riley Dougall, Jordan Bartlett and Jacksyn Clark replied for the Vipers.

Elsewhere in the NWJHL on Saturday, Cole Isaac scored twice and added an assist as the North Peace Navigators doubled up the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks 6-3.

Mason Mcleod scored twice in a losing cause for the Junior Canucks.

And in Fort St John, Joel Bourgeois’ second goal of the game at the 7:23 mark of the second stood up as the winner as the Huskies held off a late rally for a 4-3 win over the Fairview Flyers.

Meanwhile, the GPAC AAA teams went 1-and-2 on Saturday.

Ty Toews and Sheldon Kwiatkowski each scored twice as the Ernie’s Sports Experts Major Midget Storm beat Sherwood Park 5-4.

Jayden Watson also scored for the Storm, who visit St Albert on Sunday.

The Minor Midget AAA Storm dropped a 9-6 affair in Edmonton to the KC Centennials, as Brendan Wabick (2), Brody West, Olen Nordhagen, Levi Pratt and Jordan Marusiak had the goals for the Storm.

They visit Red Deer on Sunday.

And the Golden Arrown Bantam AAA Storm got goals from Kyler Watson and Spencer Rheaume in a 3-2 loss to the Parkland Saints.

They will visit Leduc on Sunday.
