Oct 27, 2019 | 9:33 AM

They got a key point on the road, but the Grande Prairie Storm are now winless in a season high five straight games after a goaltender’s duel in Bonnyville on Saturday night.

Easton Hesse made 42 saves, while Alexander Marrocco scored the winner at the 1:42 mark of overtime to give the hometown Pontiacs a 2-1 win over the Storm.

After a scoreless first period, Marc Antoine Benoit put Bonnyville on the board just over five minutes into the second.

That lead would hold until late in the third, when Jackson Savoie would pot his second of the season with just 2:26 remaining to tie the game, capping off a third period that saw the Storm out-shoot the Pontiacs 15-3.

Kaiden Lane was sharp in the Storm goal, making 30 saves on the night.

The OT loss puts the Storm’s record on the season to 6-10-1.

They close off their road trip on Sunday afternoon against North division leading Sherwood Park.
