POWER OUTAGES

Friday snowfall leaves thousands of Peace region residents without power

Oct 27, 2019 | 11:09 AM

Around three thousand customers in the Grande Prairie area were without power as a result of Friday’s snowfall in the region.

Some residents told EverythingGP that they were still without power as of late yesterday afternoon.

Danielle Brown, a spokesperson with ATCO Electric, says power has been restored to all affected customers, adding some did not have their service back until Saturday night.

She was unable to give a reason as to why service resumption was so late for some customers.
